Write for us

Clear Culture Review welcomes pitches that help readers understand how cultural meaning is made, shared or disputed. Send proposals through the Contact page, with the reason for writing set to an editorial question.

What we welcome

We are interested in clear, original pieces about customs, symbols, stories, language and belonging. A strong contribution starts from a specific question or example, adds the context a reader needs and reaches a considered point without claiming to explain an entire culture.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the proposed subject, the central idea, why it suits Clear Culture Review and how you would handle context or competing interpretations. Mention any relevant material you would consult, and disclose interests that could affect how readers understand the piece.

Before you send

Pitches should be written in your own words and should not promise access, expertise or evidence you do not have. Please propose a focused article rather than sending a broad topic alone. We cannot promise publication or a particular response time.
